Today is Earth Day; once again. Just last year, I posted the pics from April 22. On this day, President Obama is visitng the East Side of New York to talk about Wakll Street. I'm updating my links page and getting rid of the dead sites as well as looking for concert venues to fill my calendar.
The sun is shining as I write this Journal entry and I've ben getting news about my most recent video, "I Keep Trying". Not only has it been given four stars but it is a must watch here in Barnegat. I'm sitting at the PC Plus here at Ocean County Library and as always thinking on the Musical Future. This album is gonna be great. I'm afraid I'll have to go pop afterwards. I've got my options on a scale: Commercial on one side and non0cimmercial on the other. The Best solution I can think of is to mix the two together. That way you get both and indie sound and an accessable Pop Sound.
Received a catalogue from DiscMakers and their stuff sounds pretty good. They're not too far from where I'm living and they have the sound and graphics I'm looking for.
Hope to release my new albumn in October.

I've been surveying the links page and many of the old websites listed there are dead. I hate to get rid of all the posts because even though the link is no longer valid the info is still importnat. But I will be updating some info and addresses on this page.

On Tuesday March thirty first, we recordede two new songs at the studio in Vernon, NJ. Now there are six new songs for the album, four more to go and we're done. Also have over an hour's worth of footage from the show at the Gansevoort which will be included in a Rockumentary. John, Gordin and I are very pleased with the way the record is shaping up and I'm looking forward to finishing it in the summer for a fall release.

Listening to Ofenbach's Tales of Hoffmann on Great performancesw. Planning my next move. The goal of the music mission is to create an internet presence on film. Working on a Rockumentary which we started during the Gansevoort show. Will continue thru the Spring ansnd Summer. So far, we have an hour's worth of footage. I've wanted to film a documentary for the past eight years and now have the chance.

It is Friday morning, sometime after ten thirty. I'm all packed to go to NY where we're performing our concert circa nine pm. I bought a T shirt for my new stage Punk jj and am revving up for tonight's festivities. Should reach the Hotel Gansevoort at five, dine at seven and rehearsal at eight. Now that the rains have stopped and Cabin fever is broken it's a Great Day for the Irish fand only two days to go before the big show. It's been three years since I did any sort of concert so I'm looking forward to this one. New pics and video to follow.

You might think I only watch MY videos on youtube, but I dig watching the legendary Rockers on youtube. I get ideas and draw inspiration just from watching and listening. It's not a deliberate thing but it just happens. Some of the best song ideas happen by accident. I created my Punk sound without trying really hard to be Punk. It just happened.

Every morning I;ve been working on song lyrics, getting my ne songs ready for the recording session on March thirtieth. The goal behind the CD this time is to fuse Punk with recognizable pop music themes without losing the original Punk theme. A tricky formula, but so far am holding up to it. Punk Rock gives the music its solid foundation so it vdoewsn' wander too far off course. And the wildness of fusion is deliberate.

According to the New York Daily news the earthquake in Turkey was a six point zero.

First:
I'm still workin' on my new album; we;re set to record more songs on March thirtieth. Hope to finish up by late August.
Also in Music News, The new John Carey CD Sun of the House is finally available. This album is a Free Jazz/Punk CD with four Joe Cahill songs in the mix. I'm also singing backing vocals on these tracks as well.
The four songs are:
"Stranger on ST Mark's Place", "Brother Morphine", "Baby Don't Leave Me" , and, "Politically Avant Garde". Stranger On ST Mark's Place" is being considered for tv or the movies.

This is more of a Creativity blog than a website news item.
I'm getting ready for my concert which is in a few weeks. And I'm revising my songs in my offline journal for my recording session on the last week in March. With the recordings there is a temptation to go pop. But the tight structure is in Punk. That's where the writing is.
I don't want to get lost on a wild goose chase.
Punk equals Structure? Who knew?
Well, I do...Now.
